Me, blogging you, blogging about blogging

We7 logoOK, if you can follow this, we picked up a blog post about our client commenting on the influence of bloggers and, er, wanted to blog about it.

We7 CEO Steve Purdham, and Shiny Red client, spoke at the IoD North West Young Directors’ Forum in Manchester last week. Jane Smith, a PR based there, attended and blogged about Steve’s comments that bloggers are today’s tech influencers. This has created a real shift in PR and marketing since his SurfControl hey day in the mid-1990s when it was only industry analysts and key print journalists who mattered when it came to brand reputation.

We love working with clients like We7 who not only recognise the influence of bloggers but want to engage authentically. Well illustrated by Steve noticing the post and leaving a comment there (and there was no prompting from us!)

  1. Hi there,
I’m writing a dissertation on this at the moment: mainly how PR can benefit from using social media, but also looking at influencers within social media and how to engage them.
I’m running a survey, if you’d be interested in taking part:http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=CuG7_2bgGQ_2b4aKZgdtVrJpuw_3d_3d
