The age of the “Bebo boomer”

CatrionaNew dad and friend of Shiny Media, Ewan McIntosh, has coined a neat phrase in his post ‘How to look after you first Bebo Boomer‘. For anyone that’s met Ewan or read his blog you’ll know that he’s pretty passionate about social media and its positive applications in education, making a great antidote to the never-ending ’Schools should ban…’ headlines we’re always seeing.

Lucky old Catriona, although I chuckled at the comment observing that with this start she’ll “end up a luddite in a tipi with no electricity or internet access.”

  1. Hey, Darika – thanks! Catriona makes it into Shiny before I do ;-) Hopefully today’s Comment Is Free blog over at the Guardian will carry the phrase and a great story of how Edinburgh teens saved their schools by coordinating their activism through Bebo. Baby boomers used hippy-ism and demos to make their point, Bebo Boomers use social networks.
