Social networks link in PROs

Like many others, we’ve all got into the habit of using different social networking sites for different purposes, for example using bebo and myspace for personal, and facebook and Linkedin for professional contacts, but I’ve been contemplating alternative sites that really connect me with people in my field – PR and Marketing.

Amazingly, there are a few social network sites that purely cater for PR and Marketing professionals already, some of which I listed below:

MyRaganMyRagan ““ a purpose built site for all communicators, and it’s a real hub for daily PR news, tools, opinions as well as engaging content

PR Darlings ““ a slightly cheesy name for a site otherwise this social networking site does serve well for PROs wanting to socialise with their peers in an informal setting

Marcom ProfessionalMarcom Professional ““ free networking sites for all professionals in Marcom discipline where members can discuss, share and collaborate in professional ideas and knowledge

Social Media ClubSocial Media Club ““ if you prefer face-to-face networking then, SMC offers excellent informal discussions and evening workshops (mainly in London) for web entrepreneurs as well as online PR professionals
