The Royals go viral

‘Posh totty’ Zara Philips has done a great viral for Land Rover, using the same character and theme as the Josh Lewsey Land Rover video last year for England Rugby.

It’s a bit odd that Zara doesn’t speak at all, maybe it cost more for such a plummy vocal, but it’s really well done. A cheeky lad and a good slapstick ending – although the tongue lick is a little bit too disgusting! Commenting Land Rover mentioned the obvious cost-saving in creating a web-viral as opposed to a TV ad, as well as the need to create cut-through for a relatively low-profile sport – the call to action at the end drives you to their eventing sponsorship profile.

Zara has previously, got a bit of criticism from the Mail about working Royals, but I think it’s a good move for her and great optimisation by Land Rover of their sponsorship deal.
