Mr Tweet has been surging through Twitter this week, offering a cool service - Described as “Your personal Twitter assistant,” if you follow Mr Tweet he will look though your followers and suggest people that he thinks you should be following back. In addition, he also suggests which influential people you should be following. Dwight’s post explains in more detail how the service works.
Similar to the “People you may know” tool on FaceBook, I think this is a great service – when you first get a notification that you are being followed on Twitter it is not always obvious who is behind that account or know what they will Twitter about. Mr Tweet allows you to painlessly go back through your followers and follow those you missed – I must admit, some of the results were for people that I thought I was already following!
I am not alone in this, Mr tweet has been receiving compliments – DanCallahan, Pixites and Jangles are just a few examples.
Mr Tweet promised that this is just the first of many services that they will have to offer enabling smart and productive work so keep your eye peeled!
