The team at Shiny Red blends award-winning PR professionals with seasoned social media practitioners. Some of us have worked in the media and digital space for 20 years, others are 20-something digital natives who have lived their whole lives online. What we all share is a passion for the digital world. Meet some of our senior team.
Our people

Helen Nowicka, Managing Director
About me: In my role I apply the social web strategically to communications campaigns, and think about how a brand can behave consistently on- and offline. I’m lucky to work with an outstanding team, whose passion for innovation is genuinely inspiring, and with clients who want to break new ground.
What else have I done? Before Shiny Red I spent 8 years at our parent company The Red Consultancy doing award-winning work for digital superbrands including MSN, Expedia and McAfee. Prior to PR I was a national newspaper journalist.
I like: scuba diving, Shazam, and going to gigs.
I loathe: negativity, rudeness and red peppers.

Tara Brown, Deputy MD
About me: I work closely with the Shiny Red team, motivating them to bounce around ideas for clients and build long-term relationships with online influencers and communities. Client relations is a core part of my day-to- day role - one minute I might be briefing a global head of sales, the next talking about mummy bloggers to the public sector.
What else have I done?: I joined Shiny Red from The Red Consultancy, where I ran consumer and B2B campaigns including the launch of the UK’s first Internet bench.
I like: bigwardrobe.com, Barack Obama and Sunday lie-ins.
I loathe: complacency, arrogance and mustard.

Ashley Norris, Creative Director
About me: I love the way that tools like Wordpress, Twitter, Flickr and Posterous have turned the way we communicate and the way we sample content on its head. As Creative Director it’s my role to keep abreast of the latest online developments and help brands to understand this ever-evolving world.
What else have I done?: I was the founder and first CEO of Shiny Media. I am also the CEO of Anorak Media which boasts a suite of male-focused websites and have worked as a consultant for a number of media companies. Before discovering social media I was a technology journalist writing mainly for The Guardian and Evening Standard.
I like: Oddly enough the website Ilike.org.uk, Suffolk beaches, and Arsenal FC.
I loathe: People who talk softly (I am a bit deaf), curmudgeons and onions.
