Thought leadership for online advertising
The brief:
When digital superbrand eBay wanted to launch their new advertising business internationally they hired us to generate awareness, stand-out and thought leadership status amongst the advertising industry and media.
What we did:
A combination of content creation, high profile industry events and grass roots media relations got eBay on the European advertising map. We created new research eBay on consumers’ shopping behaviour and response to advertising online that delivered key insights for brands, advertisers and journalists; we got eBay Execs in front of leading opinion formers at key industry events; and we built thought leader status through opinion articles and opportunities to comment in the advertising trade press, supported by an eBay Advertising Twitter feed.
Results:
Highlights include 16 stand-out articles for the consumer online shopping research, a plenary keynote for a Senior eBay Exec at the Valencia Festival of Media in front of an audience of 600 international influencers; more than 40 pieces of press office generated coverage in the well-read advertising trade press, and a Twitter follower base of more than 500 influencers and growing.
