Hosting a blogger-only event that acheived fantastic coverage
The brief:
Panasonic asked us to work with them on creating the company’s first “just for bloggers” event. The goal was to generate an online buzz around the company’s new range of cameras and camcorders.
What we did:
We identified 16 of the UK’s most influential photography and gadget bloggers and invited them to try out the cool new gadgets.
The launch was held as a boat trip on the Thames so all those who attended had an opportunity to test out the cameras and camcorders. The resulting images were featured on more than 12 blogs. We also created a community on photo-sharing site Flickr and uploaded pictures there, tagging them to help drive search traffic. The bloggers themselves added a further 70 images to the site.
Results:
A total of 24 reviews appeared, almost all positive. The images on Flickr also highlighted to a blog-reading/image viewing web audience the quality of the camera.
