Use blogs and social networking sites to promote Sky's education site
The brief:
We were appointed to drive traffic to Sky Learning, an education-focused site for students and teachers.
What we did:
We extended the range of site content beyond listings information, by shooting short films of former Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq talking about her study tips. Then we shared the videos with student, lifestyle and revision communities, to draw their readers to Sky Learning.
We also created and managed a Bebo profile for Sky as a way of reaching teens through their favourite social network.
For teachers, we created downloadable study guides they could share with their students and promoted them through teacher web sites.
Results:
Thousands of new visitors came to the Sky Learning site via the Bebo profile and Konnie’s web videos, while the teacher study guide was downloaded more than 500 times.
